So, everyone's been raving about mindfulness and meditation recently.
But what exactly is mindfulness, and where do we start?
Mindfulness is being aware in the present moment, truly living each moment and living mindfully.
There are many different types of meditation, which we will talk about in a moment, which can help us to incorporate mindfulness into our day-to-day life. Here's some tips from Dev and I;
1. Don't expect easy answers.

2.Be open to the emotions that arise.
Everyone reacts differently, and that's okay. Just focus on your breathing and deal with things when you have the space, time and energy.
3. Do it for yourself
It's all about taking time out for yourself to literally just exist and do nothing. Studies show that meditation and mindfulness increase the neuroplasticity of our brains, improves cognitive function and helps with attention, and even memory.

EVERYDAY MINDFULNESS
5 Minutes or more of meditation alone in the morning and at night every day is enough to start on and will show benefits in focus almost immediately.
Practicing mindfulness is as easy as brushing your teeth, literally. Hear yourself brushing your teeth. Feel the bristles on your gums. Look at each tooth in the mirror as you're brushing them, and mindfully, gently brush all around your whole mouth until you are satisfied that you have done a good job.
Things to do mindfully include walking in nature, eating your food, yoga and sport, tying your laces, etc.
